Integrated Building Services: Building More Before Delivery

Concrete module showing coordinated electrical conduits and plumbing pathways

Traditional construction often involves multiple trades working in sequence on site, with coordination continuing as the building takes shape. Bloxtone is being developed to move more of this coordination into the design and manufacturing planning stages.

Before manufacturing, electrical conduits, plumbing and drainage routes, ventilation and HVAC pathways, communications provisions, and sprinkler requirements would be coordinated with the structural design. Suitable pathways, openings, and rough-ins would be incorporated according to project-specific engineering and production requirements.

Planning structure and services together can help identify conflicts before casting and reduce unnecessary cutting, rework, and field adjustments. Connections between modules, installation tolerances, and access for inspection, repairs, and maintenance would also need to be addressed during design.

The planned factory inspection process would check critical dimensions, openings, embedded service locations, and connection interfaces before transportation. Documented checks and prototype testing would help refine production procedures and provide installation teams with clearer information about the work remaining on site.

Bloxtone’s intended delivery scope combines a concrete structural shell with coordinated building-service pathways and selected rough-ins. Final service connections, fixtures, devices, appliances, and finishes would be completed separately according to the agreed project scope. Coordinating these interfaces early is intended to support a more organized transition from factory production to site installation, testing, and finishing.
